Sotkunen Kellari offers a distinctive dining experience in the historic Rakuunamäki district of Lappeenranta. Our cellar restaurant brings together European bistro cuisine, the finest seasonal ingredients, and carefully selected wines — delivered with a relaxed atmosphere and an ambitious approach to hospitality.
Our kitchen draws inspiration especially from Italy and Southern Europe. On our summer menu, you will find house-made fresh pastas, risottos, antipasti, fish sourced from Lake Saimaa, and seasonal vegetables, all interpreted through Kellari’s contemporary culinary style.
Our restaurant is located in a unique historic building whose roots date back to the late 19th century. Over the years, the building has served as a military dining hall and later as a soldiers’ canteen, locally known as Sotku. Today, the atmospheric cellar setting combines warm hospitality, candlelight, quality food and wine, and a calm, unhurried atmosphere in the heart of Lappeenranta.
